Sanger Agricultural Ventures LLC was founded in 2025 by Christopher Sanger, Sr, an investment banker and agricultural geneticist originally born in Iowa.

Sanger Farms represents a passion project Chris always dreamt about from his early days of working on the farms and fields of rural Iowa, notably working for the wealthiest individual farmer in America, Harry Stine (Adel, Iowa), focused on crop genetics when he was 18 years old.

Chris’s professional life path took a different direction than agriculture, as he started at zero absent a family farm to inherit. He knew the path to funding one of his most important life’s goals and dreams would need to come by hard work, budgeting, saving, investing, and ultimately, planning.

On November 18, 2024, Chris purchased the Martin Family farm which was previously used for horse training, and over the next year, he, along with his family & network, embarked on a complete renovation and re-fit of the property which is where our current breeding & egg production facilities reside, in addition to our experimental generations of edible heritage crops.

Chris’s current focus is chicken breeding, free range egg production, cane sorghum growing & processing, pumpkin growing & processing, and heritage store sales at the Sanger Farmstead store at the front of the property.
